On Feb, 11, 2007 , around 5 PM , there was heavy hail stone storm in Gurgaon. Hails fell for 15 - 30 minutes. Some of these were as big as golf balls. Cars parked outside got badly damaged.

Australian Drought

Australia's biggest river is running so low that Adelaide, the country's fifth-largest city, could run out of water in the next two years.
The Murray river is part of a network of waterways that irrigates the south-eastern corner of Australia, but after six years of severe drought, the worst dry spell ever, its slow moving waters are now almost stagnant.
Water levels in the Murray in the first three months of this year were the lowest on record and the government agency that administers the river, the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA), said the next three months could be just as grim.

Britain is braced for the most widespread snow storms in 18 years after the Met Office classed tomorrow's Arctic blast as an extreme weather event.
A snowfall of up to 10cm was forecast for most of the eastern England tonight - with wind speeds of 30mph and temperature lows of minus 6°C expected tomorrow.

A temperature of -15 degrees Celsius was recorded in Banburyshire as the big freeze hit last night, Monday.
The temperature was recorded on a digital thermometer near the Hanwell Community Observatory site, near Banbury.

Severe weather warnings have been issued in some parts of the UK as temperatures dipped as low as -11C (12.2F) overnight.

Snowstorm cuts traffic into Tibet
At least two people are missing and roads have been blocked by heavy snow which began to fall on Sunday in Tibet. Armed police are struggling to clear roads to restore traffic, particularly on the Sichuan-Tibet road, which has been blanketed by snow along 160 kilometres. Snow drifts on the roads were up to 1 meter deep

Winter has come early to Britain with frost and snow forecast for most of the country over the next three days.
Forecasters described conditions today as unseasonably cold, as much of Britain woke to find frost blanketing cars.

Australia's coastline is increasingly being battered by extreme waves that are driven in part by climate change, government scientists say.
Research has shown that bigger waves are bearing down on the coastline as severe storms become more frequent.
The waves could threaten communities with flooding and coastal erosion.
