Supernova 2011ae

Confirmed:
The magnitude 13.4 type Ia supernova, 2011ae, was discovered by S. Howerton and the Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey on the 12th February, 2011, in the galaxy MCG-3-30-19 (UGCA 254) in the constellation Corvus.
The supernova is located 4.9" west and 8.4" north from the center of the galaxy.

Position(2000): RA = 11 54 49.25, Dec = -16°51'43.5"
z = 0.006046

A possible magnitude 15.3 supernova was discovered by S. Howerton and the Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey on the 12th February, 2011, in the galaxy MCG-3-30-19 (UGCA 254) in the constellation Corvus.
The supernova is located 5" west and 8" north from the center of the galaxy.
As yet the type is unknown.

Position(2000): RA = 11 54 49.25, Dec = -16°51'43.6 "
z = 0.006046
