Armenia to hold forum of young astronomers

Armenia will hold an international forum of young astronomers on November 21-25, head of the Observatory Hayk Harutyunyan told the journalists on Saturday.
According to him, 29 young astronomers and 4 instructors will participate in the forum devoted to the 50th anniversary of conquest of space.

Roskosmos to invest 4 million Euro in modernization of Armenian observatory

Russian federal cosmic agency Roskosmos and Byurakan astrophysics observatory of the Armenian Academy of Sciences will sign memorandum on cooperation according to which the Russian side will provide 4 million EURO for modernization of the observatory, said the director of observatory Hayk Harutyunyan.

Byurakan observatory to get Schmidt telescope

The Byurakan observatory, Armenia, will soon get an automatic telescope, Vazgen Gabrielyan, a senior student at the Physics Department, Yerevan State University, who works as engineer at the Byurakan observatory, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
