Comet C/2010 B1 (Cardinal) was discovered on the 19th January, 2010, by R. Cardinal (Rothney Astrophysical Observatory). The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 6th February, 2011, at a distance of 2.92 AU from the Sun. At the time of its perihelion the comet will be 2.1 AU from the Earth, and may reach magnitude 13.8.
