Comet C/2009 B2 (LINEAR) was discovered by the LINEAR survey telescope on the 29th January, 2009.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 10th March, 2009 at a distance of approximately 2.3 AU from the Sun.
