To disable msfeedssync in IE7 or IE8

1. Go to 'Control Panel'.
2. Double-click 'Internet Options'.
3. Click on the 'Content' tab.
4. Click the 'Settings' button under 'Feeds. Internet Explorer Settings'
5. Uncheck 'Automatically check feeds for updates'
6. Click 'OK'

Having finished its latest browser, Microsoft on Thursday kicked off its campaign to get consumers to actually start using it.
After years of losing market share to Firefox and other rivals, Microsoft is hoping to convince people, many of whom use old versions of Internet Explorer, to give the company a new look.

Microsoft has  released the Internet Explorer 8 "release candidate 1"  version of its Web browser.
An additional update for Windows Internet Explorer 8 is required for stability.

IE8 and Reliability
For Internet Explorer, reliability means that the browser should always start quickly, perform well, connect to the Internet, and show Web sites without crashing or hanging. Most users want their browser to work, recover smoothly after a crash, and display the Web correctly. Users are not as concerned with what causes the problem, whether that be a poorly functioning add-on or poorly performing website.

Your Web site may not display correctly in Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1
These issues occur because Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 displays Web pages using its latest "Standards mode" by default, whereas most current Web pages are created and tested to work with Internet Explorer 7 Standards mode.

Microsoft  released what it calls the Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 (IE 8) developer preview at the company's MIX08 conference for Web developers and designers in Las Vegas.
For developers, the update provides several new capabilities, including built-in debugging support that's compatible with Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5. It will also focus on providing improved interoperability with Web standards than previous versions.
