A magnitude 18.5 comet, that first had the appearance of an asteroid was discovered by the LINEAR search telescope on October 19, 2007. The cometary characteristics were observed during confirmation observations of the object. The preliminary orbital elements of comet C/2007 U1 (LINEAR) indicate a perihelion passage on August 07, 2008 at a distance of 3.3 AU from the Sun.
Thirteen new comets were discovered on filed images taken by the SOHO satellite . Al the comets belong to the Kreutz group, apart from comet C/2007 R10 which belongs to the Meyer group.
