The Kosmos-2427  (Tselina-2 N23?)  military optical reconnaissance (Kobalt-M type) satellite was successfully launched atop a Soyuz-U  launcher from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome at 22:00 Moscow time, 7th June 2007.
Cosmos-2420 was successfully deployed into an orbit with inclination of 67.15 degrees, orbital period of about 89.6 minutes, apogee of 360 km, and perigee of 180 km.
Kobalt-M spy satellites use a  film capsules launch system to return the photos back to the Earth. The Nominal lifetime of the satellites is about 60 days.
