Geologist George Davis will discuss meteorite impacts that occurred across Missouri some 340 million years ago during the Rock Bridge High School Planetarium’s annual Astronomy Day tomorrow.
The impacts, which occurred during the Mississippian Era, might have been a part of the break-up of a comet or planetary body. Davis will present new fossil evidence and results of on-site drilling.
