Two upcoming events will let the University of North Texas show off its new astronomy facility.
The Rafes Urban Astronomy Centre will host an open house at sunset tonight, allowing the public its first look inside the facility at 3250 Tom Cole Road, just west of Denton Municipal Airport.
On Wednesday afternoon, the public can gather at the centre to view what's called a "Mercury transit," as Mercury crosses in front of the sun.
