Supernova 2006be

A magnitude 15.4 supernova, 2006be, was discovered on the 24th March, 2006 by the Lick Observatory Supernova Search in the spiral galaxy IC 4582, in the constellation Corona Borealis , located 6".2 west and 0".5 south of the nucleus.


Position(2000): R.A. = 15h45m39s.00, Decl. = +28°05'19".2
Size 14'1 x 14'1

As yet the Type is unknown.
