NGC 1520 (also ESO 32-SC5) is a magnitude +12.8 asterism located in the constellation Mensa.

The group of stars was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 8th November 1836. 

Position (J2000): R.A. 03h 57m 51.0s  |  Dec. -76° 48' 20"
