NGC 6226 (also NGC 6202, MCG 10-23-43, UGC 10532 and PGC 58847) is a magnitude +13.1 spiral galaxy located 258 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 24th September 1862. The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift on the 9th July 1886 and relisted as NGC 6202.
