Silkworms spin cocoons in Tiangong-2

China's Tiangong-2 space lab has six silkworms for experiments, and some of them have begun to spin cocoons one week after entering space.
The silkworms are nestled in a specially made box. The six were selected from 4000 silkworms specially cultivated by scientists.

Accompanying satellite launched from Tiangong-2

An accompanying satellite was launched from space lab Tiangong-2 at 7:31 a.m. on Sunday, said Chinese scientists.
The satellite, which weighs 47 kilograms and is the size of a printer, was launched into space aboard Tiangong-2 on Sept. 15, said the Technology and Engineering Center for Space Utilization under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

China's Shenzhou 11 docks at Tiangong 2 space station

Two Chinese astronauts have arrived at the Tiangong 2 space laboratory, in a mission aimed at developing China's capabilities as a space power.
The Shenzhou-11 spacecraft blasted off from northern China on Monday, and docked with Tiangong 2 at 03:24 Beijing time (19:24 GMT Tuesday).
Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong will be spending the next 30 days in space conducting experiments.

Tiangong-2 space lab ready for docking

China's space lab, Tiangong-2 is ready to dock with China's Shenzhou-11 spacecraft and its crew. Shenzhou-11 launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 7.30 this morning with two astronauts, Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong on board.

Tiangong-2 space lab prepares for docking with spacecraft

Tiangong-2 space lab now officially enters the stage for docking with the Shenzhou-11 manned spacecraft, which is set to launch in October. The Beijing Aerospace Control Center successfully adjusted the orbit of Tiangong-2 space lab last Sunday, manoeuvring it to 393 kilometers above the earth's surface. The space lab has already gone through ten days of in-orbit testing and four key stages for preparation.
