NGC 6964 (also MCG 0-53-5, UGC 11629 and PGC 65379) is a magnitude +13.0 elliptical galaxy located 175 million light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire on the 12th August 1785.
