NGC 1850 (also ESO 56-SC70 and GC 1060) is a magnitude +9.0 open cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud located in the constellation Dorado.
The age of the star cluster is estimated to be between 4 and 50 million years.

The cluster was discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop using a homemade 9-foot 22.86 cm (9 inch) f/12 speculum Newtonian reflector at Paramatta, New South Wales, Australia, on the 3rd August 1826.

Right Ascension 05h 08m 45.5s, Declination -68° 45' 42"

It is an unusual cluster of stars because the distribution of its stars is like a globular cluster, but unlike the globular clusters of the Milky Way it is composed of young stars.
