NGC 6383 (also NGC 6374, ESO 393-SC7, Collinder 334 and OCL 1026) is a magnitude +5.5 open star cluster located 3,212 light-years away in the constellation Scorpius.

The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 3rd August 1834.
The cluster was rediscovered by John Herschel in June 1837 and relisted as NGC 6374.

Right Ascension 17h 34m 42.2s, Declination -32° 34' 54"
