NGC 5201 (also MCG 9-22-69, UGC 8480 and PGC 47324) is a magnitude +13.2 face-on spiral galaxy located 404 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 14th April 1789.
