NGC 5211 (also IRAS 13305-0046, MCG 0-35-9, UGC 8530 and PGC 47709) is a magnitude +12.3 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 171 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 14th April 1828.
