NGC 3700 (also MCG 6-25-79, UGC 6494 and PGC 35413) is a magnitude +14.0 spiral galaxy located 419 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-Irish astronomer Robert Stawell Ball using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) reflector at Birr Castle on the 31st March 1867.
