NGC 2616 (also MCG 0-22-21, UGC 4489 and PGC 24129) is a magnitude +12.7 lenticular galaxy located 429 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 9th March 1886.
