NGC 2553 (also MCG 4-20-14, ZWG 119.31 and PGC 23240) is a magnitude +14.1 spiral galaxy located 217 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer.

The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 17th February 1865.

Right Ascension 08h 17m 35.1s, Declination +20° 54' 12"
