NGC 3263 (also ESO 263-43, MCG -7-22-18, AM 1027-435, IRAS 10270-4351 and PGC 30887) is a magnitude +11.1 barred spiral galaxy located 138 million light-years away in the constellation Vela.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 3rd February 1835.
