NGC 7764 (also ESO 293-4, MCG -7-48-27, VV 715, AM 2348-410 and PGC 72597) is a magnitude +12.3 barred spiral galaxy located 78 million light-years away in the constellation Phoenix.
NGC 7764 was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 45.72 cm (18 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 4th October 1836.
