Monday. 
[Herald.] - On Saturday afternoon, at 3 30, an extraordinary meteorological phenomenon passed over the district from N E. to S.W. It appeared like a ball of fire, with a tail to it, and was apparently as large as the sun, and so brilliant that it was painful to look at it. The explosion was heard all over the district.
