The "Maltese cross" of Robert E. Curtiss is an X-shaped illumination effect (similar to the first quarter lunar X) located between the craters Parry and Gambart in the Fra Mauro Zeta region, and NE of the small crater Fra Mauro HA.
The X-shaped feature becomes visible ~15 hours after the Last Quarter Moon phase.
