India will launch three satellites in September and two more by the end of this year, said a senior official in Chennai.
"We will be launching Spot-6, a French satellite and a small Japanese satellite on board PSLV-C21 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket, next month" - P.S. Veeraraghavan, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC).
SPOT 6, the brand new Earth observation satellite built by Astrium, Europe's leading space technology company, is now ready for launch. It will be transferred in the coming days from the Astrium Satellites facility in Toulouse (France) to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in India where it will be integrated with the PSLV launcher that will carry it into orbit.
