1990 AsiaSat 1 Relaunch after Space Shuttle retrieval
AsiaSat 1 was originally launched in 1984 on Space Shuttle Challenger mission STS-41B as Westar 6. It was stranded in orbit, was retrieved by Space Shuttle Discovery mission STS-51A, sold, and relaunched on the 7th April, 1990, by China on the Long March 3 booster. This was China's first commercial satellite launch.
