China successfully launches French made satellite

China today successfully sent a French-made high power communication and broadcsting satellite into orbit.
A Long March-3B carrier rocket launched the satellite 'APSTAR-7' from the southwestern Xichang Satellite Center, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

A Chang Zheng (Long March) 3B/E rocket with the APSTAR7 telecommunications satellite was successfully launched from the Xichang satellite launch center at 10:27 GMT, 31st March, 2012.
The satellite will operate at the geostationary orbital slot at 76.5 degrees East Longitude.
