Russian Progress M-14M Splashes Down in Pacific

Russia's Progress M-14M cargo spacecraft has been sent on its final journey to the waters of the Pacific Ocean, Mission Control said on Saturday.
Fragments of the spacecraft that did not burn up in the Earth's atmosphere splashed down into a spacecraft cemetery in a non-navigational area of the Pacific at 6:39 p.m. Moscow Time (14:39 GMT) and sunk.

Docking of Progress 46 to Station

The Russian Progress 46 (M-14M) docked successfully to the International Space Station today, 28th January 2012 at 00:09 UTC. The cargo spacecraft is carrying almost 3 tonnes of supplies for Expedition 30.

The ISS Progress 46 cargo craft is set to dock to the Pirs docking compartment of the International Space Station Friday at 7:08 p.m. EST. It began its two-day journey to the orbiting laboratory after a successful launch Wednesday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Cargo Ship Launches to Space Station


An unmanned Russian cargo ship launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on a two-day trip to deliver almost three tons of food, fuel and supplies to the six crew members on the International Space Station. The ISS Progress 46 resupply craft launched in near zero-degree weather from Baikonur at 6:06 p.m. EST on Jan. 25 (5:06 a.m. on Jan. 26 Baikonur time). The spacecraft is scheduled to dock to the station's Pirs Docking Compartment on Jan. 27.
