On 26 February 2011 the main components of the receiver were finished and the telescope could be steered manually. So far, the telescope was pointed on an area of the Milky Way and searched using the Fast Fourier Transform Spectrometers (FFTS) for emissions of the neutral hydrogen (HI). And a clean signal could be received. We regard this as the "first light" after the restoration of the telescope. Read more (German, PDF)
