MPEC 2011 - R34

Comet P/2011 R3 (Novichonok) was discovered on the 7th September, 2011, by A. Novichonok (Ka-Dar Observatory).
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 23rd August, 2011, at a distance of 3.6 AU from the Sun, and an orbital period of 10.7 years.
