Historic Boonalla Aboriginal Area co-management accord signed

Aboriginal elders and community members have signed an historic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) for co-management of Boonalla Aboriginal Area near Gunnedah.
NPWS area manager, Mark Fosdick, says the signing formalises a good working relationship with the Boonalla Aboriginal Area Co-management Committee.

No visitor centres, No public transport, No wheelchair facilities, No camping, No caravan sites, No accommodation, No lookouts, No picnics or BBQs, No kiosks/cafes, No walking, Dogs and other domestic animals not permitted, No horse riding trails, No cycling trails, No car touring, No 4WD touring routes, No canoeing opportunities, No sailing and boating, No fishing. No areas recommended for swimming. No areas recommended for snorkelling/diving. No adventure recreation opportunities

This park was created in December 2005. It covers an area of 2,267 hectares.
