Underway is prelaunch processing of launch vehicle (LV) Zenith-2SB and telecommunication spacecraft (SC) at Baikonur Cosmodrome. According to press service of Roscosmos and SC Yuzhniy, on September 23rd at the Cosmodrome Assembly and Testing Facility on site 31 assembly of Ascent Unit (AU) has been completed: installation (encapsulation) of payload fairing on spacecraft Intelsat-18 with Uppers Stage DM-SLB has been performed. Upon completion of electric checks and final operations AU will be transshipped to transport platform and carried to Cosmodrome site 42 for mating with launch vehicle. Integrated Launch Vehicle Zenith-2SB with Upper Stage DM-SLB and telecommunication spacecraft Intelsat-18 are scheduled for launch for October this year.
