CONTINUA MONITOREO DE CORDON CAULLE

El Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería, ha decidido mantener el estado de alerta amarilla en la zona del volcán Puyehue y cordón Caulle, debido a la actividad sísmica que registran los instrumentos que posee ese organismo.
Según información proporcionada por autoridades, incluso se instalo nuevo equipamiento de monitoreo y de comunicación.

Puyehue and Cordón Caulle are two coalesced volcanic vents that form a major mountain massif in Puyehue National Park in the Andes of Ranco Province, Chile.
On May 24, 1960, 38 hours after the main shock of the 1960 Valdivia earthquake, the largest earthquake recorded in history, Cordón Caulle began a rhyodacitic fissure eruption.
