Soyuz TMA-02M Expedition 28

The Russian Federal Space Agency (FSA) has set the launch date for the Soyuz TMA-02M spacecraft, with the Expedition 28/29 Crew, as 02:15 on 8th June (Baikonur Time), (20:15 GMT, 7th) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Republic of Kazakhstan..

Crewmembers:  Expedition 28/29 Crew
                        Sergey Volkov (FSA)
                        Satoshi Furukawa (JAXA)
                        Michael Fossum (NASA)

Astronaut Furukawa is scheduled to stay at the International Space Station (ISS) for about five and half months as a crewmember for the 28th and 29th expedition crews. He will return to the Earth by the Soyuz (27S/TMA-02M) in November.

The Soyuz will most likely remain on board the space station for the Expedition 28 increment to serve as an emergency escape vehicle.

Three crew members launching in (30th) May to live and work aboard the International Space Station will hold a news conference at 1 p.m. CST on Monday, March 21, at NASA's Johnson Space Centre in Houston.
