Astronaut Furukawa is scheduled to stay at the International Space Station (ISS) for about five and half months as a crewmember for the 28th and 29th expedition crews. He will return to the Earth by the Soyuz (27S/TMA-02M) in November.
The Soyuz will most likely remain on board the space station for the Expedition 28 increment to serve as an emergency escape vehicle. Read more
