Russia is delaying the planned launch of three astronauts to the International Space Station on March 30 due to a technical problem with the spacecraft, space agency Roskosmos said Monday.

Soyuz TMA-21 crew vehicle launch campaign continues at Baikonur.



Vacuum tests of the vehicle were completed successfully, and the Soyuz is now in the electrical test bench. The launch of Soyuz TMA-21 will be devoted to the 50th anniversary of Yury Gagarin's historical space mission. The vehicle bears the name of the world-first cosmonaut.

Cosmonauts prepare for space mission

Russians Alexander Samokutyaev and Andrei Borisenko and American Ron Garan were put through simulations of emergency situations that could occur during their mission that begins on March 30.
