T minus 0 seconds. Lift-off! The Delta 2 rocket's main engine and twin vernier steering thrusters are started moments before launch. The six ground-start strap-on solid rocket motors are ignited at T-0 to begin the mission.
T minus 30 seconds. The launch ignition sequence will begin at T-minus 2 seconds when a Boeing engineer triggers the engine start switch. The process begins with ignition of the two vernier engines and first stage main engine start. The three ground-lit solid rocket motors then light at T-0 for lift-off.
"The launch team is ready to enter Terminal Count"
The Delta 2 rocket's second stage hydraulic pump has gone to internal power after its pressures were verified acceptable. At T minus 2 minutes, 45 seconds the launch vehicle ordnance will be armed.
All systems remain "go." The countdown has entered the final planned hold point for today's launch.
At T-minus 3 minutes, 45 seconds. The Delta 2 rocket's systems will transfer to internal power for launch. And the launch pad water system will be enabled.
