The West Coast's eagerly awaited debut of the behemoth Delta 4-Heavy rocket is set to kick off the 2011 launch year at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
Targeting a blastoff next week, perhaps as early as Jan. 20, the Delta 4-Heavy,  built by United Launch Alliance, will fly from Space Launch Complex-6 on South Base.

The launch of the ULA Delta IV Heavy rocket has been rescheduled to 21:08 GMT, 20th January, 2011.

A ULA Delta IV Heavy rocket is scheduled to launch the classified NROL-49 (KH-12 Ikon?) spy satellite for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office on the 17th January, 2011.
The Delta IV Heavy will launch from the Vandenberg Air Force Base; and will be the first Delta IV Heavy mission to be launched from the site.
