A possible magnitude 14 supernova was discovered on the 9th December, 2010, near the elliptical galaxy NGC 584 in the constellation Cetus. The supernova is located 6" East and 23" North from the center of the galaxy. Position (2000): RA 01 31 55.95, Dec -06 48 13.2
