The X-15 Research Airplane reached an altitude of 106,010 metres on the 19th July, 1963.
This was the first X-15 flight over 100 km (a height known as the Karman line), which made the pilot Joe Walker the first US civilian in space.

Maximum Speed - 5,971 km/h.
Maximum Altitude - 106,010 m.
