Rohini 1B, also called RS-1 Experimental Technology mission, and SLV-3 E2 (Experimental), was the first Indian satellite launched by an Indian rocket on the 18th July, 1980. The satellite re-entered the earths atmosphere on the 20th May 1981. Read more

Rohini is the name given to a series of satellites launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation. The Rohini series consisted of four satellites, all of which were launched by the Indian Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV) and three of which made it successfully to orbit. Read more
