A magnitude 15.2, Type Ia supernova, 2010ba, was discovered on the 21st March, 2010, by the Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey in an anonymous galaxy in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy is located 1.1" west and 1.3" south form the centre of the galaxy.

Position (2000): RA = 11 58 20.68, Dec = +15°20'10".8
