Villagers find rare meteorites willing to sell to research institutions

The meteorites have rusted and suffered serious damage, which is a pity.

Yesterday, Beijing Planetarium expert Zhang Lin spoke to reporters that on the 20th February this year, villagers found a meteorite, identified as rare stony meteorite.

Singer (Tsai Ching) reports this morning from Fuzhou, just a year on from a witnessed meteorite fall.

"meteorites have some damage, and will cause irreparable loss to subsequent scientific research" -  Zhang Lin, Beijing Planetarium.

A month ago, a meteorite from space that landed in the Eastern mountains, near Fuzhou in Fujian province, was taken to the Beijing Planetarium.
Meteorite experts were pleasantly surprised to discover rare chemical elements and that it had  important scientific research value. But  the meteorite condition was poor.

Zhang Lin reached Fuzhou Kuanyin Ma shortly after a villager Chiu-sing witnessed a meteorite landing. Chiu Yung star described that on the 20th February, he was at his mountain home, and that a loud boom and ground shake came without warning which frightened him.   Chiu Yung star once calm, start looking for the thing that had just crashed. When he went up to 55 meters to a place covered on bushes, he found a deep 50 cm vertical hole, he reach inside it and took out a black stone.
