"Desert Fireball Array: Detecting Incoming Meteors in Arizona," by Tom Kaye

Huachuca Astronomy Club Meeting: Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, 7:00 p.m.
Room 305 A/B at  Cochise Colleges Sierra Vista campus, Arizona.

A government sponsored project, run by Sandia Labs, has developed meteor cameras and software to automatically detect incoming fireballs. Given our prime location and weather in Arizona, our group, known as the Desert Fireball Array, was given five video cameras to act as a net to catch meteors.
