Isro to focus on Mars Mission

After China's success of man mission to space recently, India is taking its space exploration quite seriously. The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has finalised its ambitious mission to Mars.
Talking to the media in a space conference on Saturday in Mysore, Isro chairman K Radhakrishnan announced that clearance of the Mars mission is expected in November next year.

Indian Scientists Propose 10 Experiments For 2013 Mission To Mars

A Indian mission to Mars is taking shape with space scientists proposing 10 experiments, mostly related to the study of the Red Planets atmosphere.
Proof that this challenging mission is no longer a dream is amply evident in a report of the Planetary Sciences and Exploration conference, organized by the Ahmedabad-based Planex group of the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), an affiliate of ISRO, between December 12 and 14, 2011.

ISRO sets its sight on red planet

Bolstered by the "success" of Chandrayaan- I, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO ) has now set its sights on Mars. ISRO Chairman K Radhakrishnan on Wednesday said the nation's space research capabilities would be at par with the international community which is planning to set up a colony on the Mars by 2030.
He was speaking after releasing a book titled 'Moon Mission,' authored by S K Das, honorary advisor to ISRO .
