A three-stage Soyuz U rocket with the classified Kosmos 2455 satellite successfully launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome at 10:44 GMT, 20th November, 2009.
The satellite is suspected to be an electronic information gathering satellite.
The spy satellite will operate in high (67.2°) inclination LEO, 560 x 120 mile orbit.
