An impressive fireball fell in the Northern Greece region or the nearby countries, according to eye witnesses throughout the region. The phenomenon was so bright that it was seen from the control tower at the Macedonia airport in Thessalonica, and also in Albania and FYROM, so  reported the North Greece channel of the government owned television.

Meteor Fall caused panic in Northern Greece
A streak of fire in the sky, very probably from a meteor, was reported on Friday evening (12.06.09) by witnesses in Northern Greece, Albania and the FYROM. The phenomenon was also recorded by the control tower at the Macedonia airport. The professor of Astronomy, Stayros Aygoloypis attributed the flash to a  small space rock that entered the earths atmosphere as a fireball.
