Two people have contacted the Whitby Gazette to say they also saw a spectacular fireball which streaked across the sky in Whitby last month.
Alison Heffernan of Holly Tree Court spotted something when she was watching television on 11 May.
Veronica Rickards also saw the object miles away from her home near Bedale.
