Northridge opens state's first high school observatory
Students at Northridge High School in Layton (Utah) will be some of the first to view deep-sky objects such as the Whirlpool Galaxy from their own school grounds.
Starting today, students will be able to look deep into the night sky through an 800-pound, 12-inch telescope housed at what appears to be the first on-campus high school observatory in the state.
